After graduating law school, Scott spent two years as a judicial law clerk for a federal district court judge, followed by years in traditional law firms. Over time, he saw how impersonal the process could be. People facing serious legal problems were treated like case numbers instead of individuals with families and futures.
“I wanted to build something different — something better.”
In 2011, he opened the doors to Rose Legal Services with a desk, a briefcase, a phone, and a belief: people facing criminal charges deserve to be seen, heard, and treated with dignity.
Today, Rose Legal Services has grown to a team of 35, including nine attorneys across three locations in Missouri and Illinois. The firm’s values — integrity, teamwork, client care, growth mindset, and relentless focus on client experience — shape every case, every decision, and every relationship.
“At Rose Legal Services, we believe in second chances. Second chances are our passion, our cause, our core focus. It’s all we do.”
